From July 7 to November 29, 2009, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain will present Born in the Streets—Graffiti. An innovative fund-raising campaign to help train thousands of metro Detroiters for local jobs is to be announced today by Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit along with several area partners. Called Pay It 4ward, the campaign, which runs through July 31, uses envelopes to be filled with dollar bills and passed from person to person until they reach 25 people.
The 25th person is asked to either take it to a metro Detroit Flagstar banking center, drop it off at a metro Detroit Caribou Coffee location (and get a free cup of coffee) or bring it to Drakeshire Lanes in Farmington Hills.
